Please note that we had lots of discussions around these slides so this isn't the full story, but it's a decent starter for those who couldn't make it.

​CLAN the Gathering I - the first fifteen​
​
Well that was a great time. Everyone made it, and we were hosted by the lovely Eden who gave a really informative tour of LILAC co-housing as well as augmenting the talk with their own experiences which was really valuable.
​
We had some great discussions as we went through, managed to get a quick game session in their dining room before the session ended, and then those who could stay a bit later had fish and chips and played games into the evening.
​
We hope to do this roughly every six months, with the format evolving over time.

Thank you to everyone who attended, it was great to meet some new faces, and to reconnect with some old friends. Not everyone here may sign up in the end, but that's OK - finding out about the project, and finding out how you feel about it is all part of the process.

Hello! I know it's short notice but I have just been alerted to this event which you may be interested in. Leeds Community Homes are one of the organisations we work with, and this will be a good intro into the concept of community-led housing (including co-housing) and an introduction to some of the existing housing projects in Yorkshire. Thanks for bearing with us, folks. Since our last email when we had just discovered the insane cost of building new dwellings post-pandemic, we've had to go back and start researching other options, like modular buildings, pre-existing flats/groups of houses, and converting old buildings into dwellings. These options may not be as perfect as being able to build something to our co-housing dream specifications, but we hope that we can find a solution that still keeps the heart and ideals of...

We hope you had a good Christmas and New Year, so it's time for Gathering II, Spring 2025! We have booked a space at LILAC co-housing in Leeds, the same venue as last time.The format will be broadly similar too: a tour of LILAC, a presentation and Q&A session in their common lounge, followed by games in their common room. As last time, there is a first-come-first served offer of bed space at Mavis'. Food will be decided closer to the time when we know who is coming and dietary needs. First...
